Does eating soya sauce cause pigmentation? 6 Months ago  
My mum was complaining to me this afternoon that my little sister did not believe her when she said that eating soya sauce will cause your recovering scar to be black in color.

I have always believed in this myth since I dare not try , but is there any basis to this? Anyone has any experience with this?

Its better to believe such myth, considering the probable impact on you in future.
I have a friend who swear by this because she ate it saying that its just 'old granmother's story'. Guess what happened! There was really pigmentation after that.

Sometimes, in order to tease her, we will purposedly stare at the pigmentation spot (quite obvious) and then she will become very conscious of it. tsk tsk

This is true girls. I tried it myself... unfortunately. I had two large pimples several years ago. After squeezing them,I forgot mum's advise and I ate some braise pork leg, and guess what, there was scarring on both pimples. From then on, I NEVER NEVER NEVER eat blcak stuff when I have some outbreak.

OMG! You mean its real? I have always watched my diet just in case. Didnt know it is really true. Right, gonna really start watching my diet big time from now on.

I tried before eating black sauce when I was young after I had an outbreak. Nothing was left on my face leh... Maybe it works for some i.e. somepeople are more sensitive to it, while others like me are unaffected at all. heng...
